Founded in 2002 «Formation Musique Recherche Zulauf» (FMR Zulauf) is a private organisation specialising in research in music education and in music teacher education. Training systems and their development represent another area of interest.
It undertakes and realises contracts on behalf of individuals, private and public institutions (music schools, public schools, schools for the education of instrumental teachers and of school music teachers, universities) as well as public offices at cantonal, national and international levels. Its activities range from the evaluation of local projects to national surveys, and also cover students’ masters theses, courses, seminars, counselling in research methods and expertise.
The Director, Ms Madeleine Zulauf, is a Professor at the “Bern University of the Arts” and the “School for Teacher Education” at the “University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland”. She is the author of numerous publications and is co-editor of the series MOUSIKAE PAIDEIA from Peter Lang, International Academic Publishers.
